Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.You may come to a session with something specific you’d like support with, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite working and you’d like to understand why. We’ll begin with a brief conversation about what’s bringing you here, what you’re experiencing, and what you’d like support with. From there, we’ll move into the deeper work using the approaches and tools most suited to what you’re exploring.Depending on what feels most relevant to you, this may include coaching, subconscious work, Emotion Code®, PSYCH-K®, NLP, hypnotherapy, or intuitive guidance. Each session is personalised to you and what you need support with in that moment. You don’t need to know exactly where to begin. We’ll explore that together.
There is no set number of sessions you need to complete. Everyone is different, and the support that feels right for one person may not be right for another. Some people come for a single session to gain clarity around a specific challenge, while others choose to continue working together over a number of sessions to explore patterns more deeply and build on the work over time.Deeper change often unfolds through consistency, practice, and integration. We can discuss what you would like support with and decide together what feels appropriate for you as we go.
Life coaching is a collaborative process that helps you gain clarity, understand what may be keeping you stuck, and create meaningful change in your life.Together, we explore what you’re experiencing, the thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and patterns that may be influencing the way you think and respond, and what you would like to change moving forward.Coaching can support areas such as confidence, relationships, life transitions, purpose, personal growth, and feeling more connected to yourself and your life.
No. Coaching and therapy are different forms of support, and coaching is not a replacement for therapy, counselling, psychological treatment, or mental health care.Coaching is generally focused on helping you understand where you are, explore what you would like to change, and support you in moving forward. Together, we may explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, behaviours, and patterns, as well as the goals and challenges you are currently navigating.Therapy and other mental health services are designed to assess and treat mental health concerns, psychological conditions, and significant emotional distress. A qualified mental health professional is the appropriate person to provide this type of care.Coaching may be suitable alongside other forms of support. If you are currently working with a psychologist, psychiatrist, counsellor, or other mental health professional, please let me know so we can consider whether coaching is appropriate alongside your existing care.If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require clinical mental health support, please contact an appropriately qualified mental health professional or crisis service.
Yes. Online sessions are available for suitable services and can be conducted via video call. You’ll need a private, comfortable space where you can talk openly and, for some sessions, relax without interruption. If you’re unsure whether the support you’re looking for is suitable for an online session, you’re welcome to get in touch and we can discuss it.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a collection of tools and approaches for exploring the relationship between the way we think, communicate, and respond.NLP can help you become more aware of patterns in your thoughts, language, and behaviour, and explore new ways of thinking and responding to the challenges you’re facing.
In sessions, NLP may be used to support areas such as confidence, self-belief, communication, habits, and personal change.
PSYCH-K® is a process designed to help you explore and work with subconscious beliefs that may be influencing the way you think, feel, and respond. Many of the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world develop through our experiences and can continue to influence us without us consciously realising it. For example, you may consciously want to feel confident while carrying a deeper belief that you are not good enough, that you are unsafe, or that you have to work hard to earn love and acceptance.During a PSYCH-K® process, we identify a belief or pattern you would like to explore and work with a structured process designed to support a shift towards a more empowering belief or perspective.PSYCH-K® is collaborative and you remain actively involved throughout the process. It may be used to explore beliefs relating to self-worth, confidence, relationships, personal growth, and the changes you would like to make in your life.
Emotion Code® is an energy-based approach that explores the possibility that emotional experiences may continue to influence the way we think, feel, and respond, even after the original experience has passed. In sessions, we explore emotions and patterns that may be connected to what you are currently experiencing. The process is designed to support reflection, self-awareness, and the exploration of emotional patterns that may be influencing your life.Emotion Code® may be used alongside other approaches, such as coaching and subconscious work, depending on what you would like support with.
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and relaxation. You remain aware of what is happening and stay in control throughout the process.Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis as part of a guided process to support personal change. It may help you explore thoughts, habits, beliefs, and emotional patterns from a different perspective, while creating space for new ways of thinking and responding.During a session, I guide you into a relaxed state while we work towards what you would like support with. This may involve focused attention, imagery, and carefully considered suggestions.Everyone responds differently to hypnotherapy, and outcomes depend on the individual, what they would like support with, and their level of engagement with the process. Meaningful change is not instant or guaranteed, and often develops over time through consistency, integration, and active participation.
Hypnosis is generally understood as a natural state of focused attention and relaxation. You remain aware of what is happening and in control throughout the session. You cannot become “stuck” in hypnosis, and you can return to your usual state of awareness whenever you choose.During a hypnotherapy session, you may be guided through relaxation, focused attention, imagery, and suggestions related to what you would like support with. This can create space to explore patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour in a different way.Hypnosis is not about losing control or being made to do something against your will. You remain able to make your own choices and decide what you do or do not wish to share.Hypnotherapy is not suitable for everyone. If you have concerns about whether it is appropriate for you, particularly in relation to a medical or mental health condition, please speak with an appropriately qualified health professional before booking.
